The Lao Zi Temple in Kuantan, Pahang is famed for its Golden Dragon and the seven-meter-tall statue of Lao Zi. Lao Zi is the founder of Taoism.  Each year, as many as 100,000 visitors from within the country, Thailand, Myanmar and Singapore visit the temple.

The walkway leads from the dragon's tail to its head and teachings of Taoism are written on the wall of the Dragon. Visitors can touch the red pearl at the mouth of the dragon for good fortune.

Other attractions include a fish pond surrounded by the twelve animals from the Chinese Zodiac, a brass image of the Goddess of Mercy dating back to the Ming Dynasty, a wishing bell, a pair of longevity tortoises, monkey god, 18 disciples of Buddha, eight fairies and a three-legged toad.
