Sekinchan is unique because there are small villages located in the centre of the paddy fields. Visitors can drive along the roads to the small villages, passing by aquaducts, small bridges, bird houses, and farmers working the fields with their machines.

Paddy is planted twice year. Every May and November, the fields turn green. In June and December, the paddy fields will turn golden yellow. After harvest, the land will be left completely barren in January-February and July-August before the cycle starts again.
